本期推出「中國前途問題專號」，重頭戲是「臺灣對於中國前途所處的角色與使命」座談會，出席的有文崇一、王文興、王曉波、林鍾雄、胡佛、孫震、韋政通、高準、陶百川、陳鼓應、張系國等。楊國樞在座談會總結時表示，應該把握時間，繼續努力，以臺灣為實驗場，為中國問題的解決追求一個合理的答案，建立一個自由的、民主的、平等的、均富的、和平的國家、社會。而最關鍵的，還是要徹底實行民主憲政，擴大民意基礎，推動政治社會革新。
