進入民國62年（1973年），《大學雜誌》也邁入第6年，自本期起，版權頁除發行人張育宏外，其他人不再列名，編輯者改為本刊編委會（實際總編輯陳少廷）。

本期社論提出新年獻辭〈展望新時代的來臨〉，從外交內政各方面，檢視國家面臨的嚴酷局面，並期許蔣經國內閣掌握改革契機，創造新局。

為紀念中國近代啟蒙大師梁啟超百歲冥誕，《大學雜誌》本期推出兩篇紀念文章：陳少廷的〈梁啟超對臺灣知識份子的影響〉、張朋園的〈梁啟超：一個知識份子的典型〉。張朋園文中說，有人說梁啟超是一個政治家、思想家、言論家、教育家，但不如說他是一個知識份子。做一個知識份子，要站在時代的尖端，帶動時代往前推進，「梁任公是一個典型」。
