這是一本寫給想轉職進入 資訊業 的朋友的書，與一般的資訊課本不同，裡面不會太過於死板的描寫技術，而是透過個人（ 軟體工程師 ）在向朋友（ 資訊素人 ）教學程式的過程紀錄，因此此書會用最 平易近人 的方式來說明觀念，用分享的方式引導讀者了解、學習到一些程式設計的基礎，同時也能體會軟體工程師思考的方式。
